If there is a season for shopping, this is it. It is the time when all my hard work, determination and arduous research to find the best local shops and boutiques gets put to test. It is the time of year when my email box, text and voicemail is filled with requests from readers, friends and family with special requests of where they can shop local for this, that and the other thing. It makes me feel a bit like the Santa from the 64th Street Macy’s that sends customers off to find the best deal on what they are after and I am happy to do it.
Although with all this gift giving I would be lying if I didn’t admit to putting together a little wish list of my own. You can probably guess that with all the local shops in my repertoire that list is not exactly short.
